British businessman Karl Watkin MBE has applied for the issuing of a summons by Westminster Magistrates Court for the prosecution of British citizens Babar Ahmad & Syed Talha Ahsan whom he accuses of supporting terrorist activity in the UK.
Ahmad and Ahsan have spent several years in prison in the UK, without charge, contesting extradition to the United States on charges relating to websites.
Mr Watkin has said that he believes the British nationals accused of crimes that allegedly took place in Britain, should be prosecuted in Britain and not abroad.
“Between them they’ve spent 14 years in British jails yet have not been charged with breaking any British law – that’s crazy. Justice delayed is justice denied. I am acting where politicians, the Metropolitan Police and the CPS have failed. “
